Looking for a gnarly rear tire that can handle soft, loose stuff but won't skate around on harder pack? The Tusk EMEX T-35 is built for exactly that. It's labeled as a soft-to-intermediate terrain tire, perfect for motocross tracks or off-road trails where the dirt isn't always perfect.
The tread pattern is aggressive with deep, wide center lugs that dig in for awesome traction when you're on the gas. But Tusk was smart about it – they use a dual rubber compound. The knobs in the center and on the edges are a slightly stiffer compound, which helps them last longer and provide better bite when you're leaned over in a corner. They even have little reinforcing bridges connecting the side knobs to stop them from tearing off and to give you more predictable handling when you're on the side of the tire.
The open tread design helps it clean out mud easily, and the large contact patch gives you a stable, confident feel. It's a tube-type tire (so you'll need an inner tube) in a common 60/100-14 size, which fits a lot of popular dirt bikes. Whether you're racing or just riding hard on mixed terrain, the T-35 is a great all-around performer that gives you great traction without being too specialized for just deep sand or just hardpack.
