This box of 25 CONFAST lag shield anchors is your go-to for heavy-duty fastening into concrete, brick, or block. They're made from Zamac alloy (zinc), so they're rust-resistant and okay for damp areas. You use them with standard 5/8-inch lag screws. Drill a 7/8-inch hole with a carbide-tipped bit, hammer the shield in, then drive your lag screw – the screw expands the shield tight against the hole. They need a minimum embedment of 2 inches into the concrete. Keep them at least 4-3/8 inches from any unsupported edge and space them at least 8-3/4 inches apart center-to-center. Perfect for anchoring ledgers, securing posts, mounting machinery, or any project where you need a super strong mechanical hold in masonry. No special setting tool needed, just a drill, hammer, and wrench.
