Science teachers and students, this EISCO power supply is for viewing those cool colored gas spectra in physics or chemistry class. You plug in 26cm spectrum tubes (sold separately - like hydrogen, helium, neon, etc.) and it makes them glow, emitting their unique spectral lines. You can then analyze the light with a diffraction grating or spectrometer. It's a safe, CE/CSA/CUS approved unit that outputs 5000 volts to excite the gases. The tube sockets are spring-loaded and shielded so you won't accidentally touch the terminals. The whole unit has a flat black finish to reduce ambient light interference during experiments. It's got a simple on/off switch with a pilot light and comes with a 6-foot grounded power cord. Perfect for demonstrating atomic theory, quantum mechanics, or the Balmer series of hydrogen. Just remember, the spectrum tubes themselves aren't included - you need to buy those separately based on which gases you want to study.
