It's a semi-auto, non-blowback pistol that shoots standard .50 caliber paintballs, pepper balls, powder balls, or rubber balls (ammo and CO2 NOT included).
It features a unique under-barrel magazine that holds up to 6 rounds. Loading is easy, and it uses a quick-piercing 12-gram CO2 cartridge system (the cartridge goes in the grip). You can adjust the velocity from about 250 FPS up to 400 FPS with the included tool, and it has an effective range of around 30 meters (roughly 100 feet).
The frame is made from high-impact polymer, so it's tough but not too heavy. It has a Picatinny rail on top if you want to mount a red dot sight or other accessory. The kit comes with the pistol, one 6-round magazine, an Allen wrench, a cleaning/unjamming pin, 7 rubber balls, and 7 powder balls to get you started.
