You feed it an AC voltage (anywhere from 0 to 500 volts), and it outputs a proportional 4-20mA DC signal. The 4-20mA signal is the industrial standard because it's resistant to electrical noise over long wire runs. It's super accurate at 0.5% of full scale. It runs on 24V DC power (default, but you can message for 12V or 15V). It has great isolation (2000V between input/output/power) to protect your sensitive equipment.
