Want to know when a storm is rolling in before you hear the thunder? The ECOWITT WH57 Lightning Detection Sensor is your personal storm tracker. It detects lightning strikes up to 25 miles (40 km) away and sends the data wirelessly at 915 MHz. Heads up – this is a sensor only, so you’ll need an ECOWITT GW1100 WiFi Gateway (sold separately) to make it work. Once connected, you can see live data on the free WS View Plus or Ecowitt app: things like daily strike count, how far away the last strike was, and when it happened. You can also upload data to the Ecowitt.net website to view graphs and download history, and even set up email alerts so you’re never caught off guard.
